Old US Pineapple Grenade

I do not normally collect grenades, but this seemed like a good gamble for $20. Found in a little North Texas antique shop. How did I do?

Here is another view. It does seem to be a WWI Mk1 after a little research. What are these worth?

Hey Steve, nice find! These are fairly common and the body by itself in this condition is around $75-80, maybe? It's been a while since I bought one. So for $20, you did very well. Now the bad news. The MKI detonating fuse (WWI) would be the correct one in WWI. I've NEVER seen this fuse available by itself. ( maybe a member perhaps) and if I did, in good shape I would imagine it would be close to 2X what body goes for. Now I believe that these inventories were also used on early MKII fuses as well. These fuses are most often called "cutback" fuse, and are ,much more easily found and cheaper. I'll do some checking for one if you'd like.
