I recently acquired this P.E.& M. Co. 37mm projectile, it has some old red paint on it. There is no reason for this as far as I know, but I thought I should ask around before removing it. The projectiles were sold mostly to Russia in the 37x136 case and lesser quantities in the 37x95 case. As far as I know with no colouration at all.
