On the net. Can anyone id this shell? Top appears to be off a British shrapnel shell, but the bottom? Obviously not meant to be with the top!
 
Looks like a mix of ww1 British shrapnel (top) as you said and bottom (remnants) of something like modern 84mm HEDP -Carl Gustav- (fins are missing)
