Hi Spotter

Theres some dangerously good repros out there and also just plain ugly ones depending on what you want. the dreaded ebay would be a good start.there are also a couple of online retailers if you do a Google search but honestly mate have a good look around before you buy as prices and quality vary wildly.

Good luck

Andrew

Scary stuff

I had 70 of them in various forms a long time ago, now some repro plates and such are so good it's almost like the WW2 German situation, you need a PHD to tell the difference. Even 30 years ago there was a chap who made up some high end German Hussar Officer Busby's, he was only found out because after 70 years the fur naturally ages and changes colour, these hadn't - this was a big mess in the upper ends of the hobby many thousands of $. So you never know. There are some repro WW1 German buckles that are so good that the only way to tell the difference is that the body brass metal is just a bit too thick.
