So here are some pictures of a Russian (French Origin) Powder Time Projectile fuze.

I am going to assume it is still a 24 second fuze, like the French comparision.

Does anyone know what they Russians designated this fuze? and have any infomration on it?

The pictures are from the Former Aberdeen Ordnance Museum.

Joe

As I know in Russia thiw fuzes call - Tube 1917 year (Трубка образца 1917 года)

Do you have any documents on this, for curiosity sake?

Joe

No,I don`t. I think it was only copy of french fuze and that`s all. If you want, I can give you book about artillery indastrial in Russia during WWI. I ahven`t seen in that book picture of this fuze, but can be something in text about it. (We can discasse it on email :) )

I think, this fuze is not Russian but Serbian. ВТЗ is Serbian factory.

Regards,
Vince

Interesting ... Is there anything out there to confirm that they were manufactured there by chance?

Joe

Strakv is right, ВТЗ (VTZ) = Voini Techniki Zavod in Kragujevac, Serbia. But I guess this fuze is from between 1st and 2nd WW as the serbian fuzes from 1st WW are looking very different.
