However -
IBR - Ideal Boiler & Radiator Co., of Hull.
41 - more than likely a casting pattern number.

SIK R - If it is SIK, it could be Sinclair Iron Co. Ketley, Wellington, Shropshire. who were casters, but this doesn't explain the elaborate 'R.' 'R' could be Rattray & Co., Ltd. Parliamentary Road, Middx.
41 - Pattern casting number
'C' within a lozenze - Crane Ltd., Ipswich
V & F - no trace
IBR - Ideal Boilers and Radiators, Hull
M P S - might be - Medway Paper Sacks,
PB & Co. - Platt Bros Co., Ltd. Oldham, Lancs

?? - as yet unknown
HC - might be Hercules Cycles, but I suspect an examiner's stamp

I found somewhere that HC stood for Holes Converted.
I wrote down that instructions were issued in ACI 1840/1941 for aluminum tails fitted with Mk I 47 grain cartridges to be drilled with a fourth tier of flash holes.
Packages of these bombs were to be marked HC.

I thought this only referred to the packaging but they may have marked the tail unit as well.

Thoughts?
