Some things I got today

A trip to a distant Army surplus store (90 miles), resulted in the hauling back of the pictured items. Assorted crates and cans. 40mm grenade can, Cal. 50 side opening cans, bangalore torpedo crates, 165mm TP, M67 grenades, blasting caps, det. chord. The best "find was the bangalore connectors and nose piece. Frikkin' awesome, that. He threw in the pop-up target. Another trip there will hopefully result in some minefield signage, which are currently part of his "collection".

There is a trailer full of comparable stuff just waiting for me to go back and get. Same assortment. No ordnance :tinysmile_cry_t4:

Regards Daryl

Hiya Slickster,

Nice finds fer sure!

Sooooo, you like Bangalore torpedoes?
Would yours happen to 'mate' with these two parts of mine?
The shown item consists of two pieces, the pointy one is obviously the head, and at the base you'll find a connector.
Can anyone tell me from which country they are?

Now, assuming mine not to be Japanese, just let me know if this one interests you. Also, the projo shown next to it is a Russian 25mm projo. I somehow suspect you'll like that one too. ;)

Just let me know if you'd like these items to make their way to the Ord Hut; I like them as oddities, but they may fit your collection better than mine. :p

Cheers,
Olafo

PS: Sorry for the poor quality of the picture; it was a quick snapshot.

Got them all, or most of them, stuffed in a corner now. At least they're out of the weather. Some had been stored, for years, UNDER a semi trailer. Bottom ones were pretty well eaten up. I was lucky to be allowed to cherry-pick what was there. Am hauling my own trailer next trip.

Anyway, here are the markings showing the variety of contents. The only one I'm not sure about is the 165mm round. And odd that the German crate has slide/glides inside. It's the end-opening one. Would love to see the internal packaging on that one.

You should paint that target dummy or hide it or something. Its creeping me out.
Be the perfect thing to put on some kinda spring board, have it pop up soon as you open the door to the OrdHut.

Great score Slick, Awesome array of ammo boxes and the Bangalore and Dick Blick figurine just tops it off. I myself am partial to the M67 box..Great stuff.....Dano

The only one I'm not sure about is the 165mm round

Found this drawing of the M623 TP 165mm projectile.
