Striker Mechanism NO.3

Hello everybody, wonder if someone has some info about the hand grenade mechanism NO.3 used for smokes and flashbang. Question is what sort of primer is common for this type of fuse.

IGNITER, GRENADE NO. 1 MK 1


Cap chamber with 0.22RF Cap; 0.5 inch Fuze Grenade Mk. 1, the end of which is covered with a blob of composition PN 623. Used in Grenade No. 95, with Striker Mechanisms No. 3 Mk 1 or 1/1.

IGNITER GRENADE NO. 3 MK 1

Cap chamber with 0.22RF Cap and a length of Fuze, Instantaneous. Prior to 11 Oct 1957 the fuze was 0.8 inches long. Used with Striker Mechanism.

IGNITER GRENADE NO. 2 MK 1

After 11 Oct 1957 the Fuze was 1.1 inches long; used with striker Mechanism No. 3 mk 1/2 in Grenade No. 83 mk 3/1.


IGNITER GRENADE NO. 2 MK 1/1

Introduced October 1957. As for Mk 1 but with 0.83 inches of Fuze Instantaneous with the exposed end covered in Composition PN 623. Used with Striker Mechanism No. 3 Mks 1/1 ir 1/3 and No. 4 MK 1 in Grenade Hand No. 83 mk 3/2.


IGNITER GRENADE NO. 2 MK 2

Introduced September 1964. As for Mk 1 but with 1.1 inch Fuze Instantaneous. Cap filled Lead Stlyphnate and Barium Nitrate mixture instead of the Mercury Fulminate mixture used previously in order to obtain better storage life. Used with striker Mechanism No. 3 mk 1/2 in grenade No. 83 Mk 3/2.
