Suite Française (2015)

Watch this if you like piano music, good acting and the movies "The Pianist" and "Le Vieux Fusil". The film is in English with occasional German, no French at all. 1940, Wehrmacht occupies France. The circumstances force good people to become bad and bad people to become good. Highly fluid romantic drama.
I have a question. Germans are shown changing clocks from French time to German time. May someone explain this to me?

Germany imposed during the campaign of May-June 1940 the GMT+2 "German Summer Time" in all parts of France that fell under their rule, while the legal hour in France was GMT+1. This caused some misunderstanding in the application of the cease-fire on June 25, 1940 as the time of "1h35" was in some places understood differently by French and German soldiers. In 1942, the Vichy regime will officially adopt "German time" instead of the "French time", in order to have both areas of France (German ruled and Vichy ruled) "running at the same hour.".
