Finally, just watched it. It is a hard movie to find. Very very gloomy story of a Hungarian infantry detachment sent to look for partisans in an Russian village during IIWW. Filmed indeed in as close to "natural light" as possible, to the extent that sometimes the screen is totally black. "Natural Light" is a translation of the movie's title. Very slow moving to create almost still images, the movie tries to give the viewer time to absorb the events, to contemplate on them.
Hungarian soldiers are armed with German Mausers. I'd expect them to carry Steyr M95's. Are Mausers historically correct for these troops?
