my encounter with them was on Ex Lionheart ( or Crusader), they were acting as enemy to us, a tin-pot Ordnance Company whose secret weapon was a blank-firing SMG; they had ten times as many troops and two A10 Warthogs. Needless to say they hardly blinked going through our position which was close to their DZ. The drop was a magnificent sight, a bit like on the film until they got close to the ground, no bikinis but then it was October.
