Transport plug

I have this plug. Used I guess to protect the opening in shipping or moving
projectiles. I have 8 marked brass discs for same. If any one is interested in the 8
pieces contact me. One has the Broad Arrow on it. I don't know anything
about them. When the wing nut is tightened it squeezes the rubber grommet
which expands and seals the hole.

JHC - Joseph Hibbert and Co. of the Iron, Brass and Copper Works, Darwen, Lancashire. They made steam gauges and machine valves in peacetime.

Admiralty Glands ! well at any rate if any one has an interest in the Gland discs let me know, better to find a home than scrap same ---

You sure it's a shipping plug for ordinance? I've seen old pipe end caps that use this system as a clean out plug.
