Hi Randall,

A very interesting round - the projectile initially reminded me of a 2 pdr AT(40mm) , but the dimensions certainly don't match as it looks closer to 2.5" (63mm) from both the posted description and photo measurements.

The only information I could find regarding 2.5" points to the British RML 2.5" Mountain Gun, but this used only Shrapnel rounds not AP(?). Can't find any info on the related ammo.....Besides that the 24" round would be almost a long as the Mountain Gun Barrel length!! (LOL).

The case neck is really weird - I'm thinking that it is perhaps "Trench Art"???

Would be an interesting purchase for someone, but not for big bucks!

Pity the Seller didn't post closeups of both the case neck and the base.
