Unknown 20mm... with Sectioned Fuze

Asking the experts...

I picked up a 20mm with a sectioned fuze this weekend.

The projectile body is stamped/marked "Y.A." in red.
...no idea if the colour is original or just added to enhance the markings

The fuse is stamped/marked "MK. 26-1 Y.A.".
...just stamped, not red

The steel casing is unmarked.

If it's a German 20mm, "Y.A." may possibly stand for "Saechsische Metallwarenfabrik, August Wellner u. Sohn, Aue, Saxony".

Can anyone tell me what I have and what era it is?
Also, is the fuze complete or is it missing parts?

Many Thanks!

Cheers,
Brad

Has all the features(mk26 fuze, star crimp of primer) of the US 20mm Hispano M21A1.
Is it definitely YA,could it be VA?
Steel cases aren't uncommon, often being stencilled on the side.
Fuze looks fairly complete, being air column detonated not much in it.
Steel case, air column fuze all a good example of economy mass production techniques.

Hi Bob,

I had another good look and it's definitely "Y.A.".
Does that change the identification?

Cheers,
Brad

No ,same ID.
I'll have to dig around to see if i've got any info on who made the projectile.
