Yep ive been getting these viagra emails everyday and allsorts of instant remedies for this that and the other, which all i have been able to do was install spam fighter pro which has junked 4000 odd emails in 9 months:sad:

This was caused by a good friend of mine in the states who had his email
hi jacked and i unwittingly opened one up:tinysmile_cry_t4:

Getting a guy around to go through the system and straighten things up
soon, although my email is still safe

Best phil

Seriously though chaps, ive always found MSN to be virus-riddled. I always warn my nephew not to go near it when using my PC.

cheers

waff
Hi Waff, I,ve never used MSN but these MSN e-mails still get through!
Satan 18 ,I also use a spam filter, they do not stop this virus,on my anti virus report after the dust had settled, asked me to fill in a questionere, as it as unknown...like to get hold of the tosser who programed it!!!

the nudie virus

The only time I had virus trouble, it had to be cleaned by my server and a system restore. The server told some scoundrel had been viewing porno on my machine and I sure would like to catch the culprit that was watching nudies on my machine (probably one of my boys)!! Now I don't open email that is even in the least suspect..Dano

Hope this helps....

MSN ,,,ah the bain of our lifes with viruses, and of course the odd bit of pervin :)
viruses are rife wearever you go on the internet, I get so many that seem to be
originated from Poland, any way we use the following and never any trouble in last 3 years,,, only when i forgot to extend the liscence and fotgot my server,,,,,,baaad move,,,very baaad, but all good now.

Nod 32 by Eset is one,if not the best a/v proggy out there.
it does drag the pc down to a grinding halt like Norton av does.

The following links are to the three main proggys that seem to sork for me.

A/V protection small subscription but well worth it.

Just to ad to that..

On every machine I setup, I use Spybot Search And Destroy as mentioned, but as for Anti-Virus, the most reliable I've found is Avira AntiVir. It picks up more than the rest of them, doesnt impact the performance of your machine and has a free version, you just have to click OK on a window that appears whenever it updates itself.. but thats a small price to pay for reliable protection.

For additional Spyware/Malware protection I suggest trying out Malware Antibytes.

If I know a machine is infected, I install Spybot, Avira AND Malware Antibytes, then Run scans with all 3 in windows safe mode. That should clear any problems.

Hi bolo,
I use Avira as well, at first it did not pick up these virus because the default was set to smart extensions while doing a scan, changed it to scan all files and it picked up 12 virus's! I agree with you it is a good system, one thing I like about it is that you can scan a download ect with it with out doing a full scan, you can get rid of the file download box by ticking the don't show this message again box....wish could get rid of the upgrade pop up though!!
Cheers Tony
