Was just thinking.....

Guys, I was just thinking about fuze extenders on aerial bombs. I know they used them allot in Vietnam with the exception of the B-52 loads which were normal 500 & 750 pounders. You'd think that they would of been used earlier in WWII which I believe there where that were suited to be carried that way The tremendous way to kill out further is especially good for the open battlefield or the jungle.

Any help here would be very instermental on my researh into why this happened or not.

On a side note. There is now reason to believe that the "The Fat man" atomic bomb missing it's target by an half-mile was caused by one of the box ends. One of the box ends had a fin collapse on one side therby pushing it outside of target.
