What do you think of my No 5 Mills?

I have just finished making up a relic Drill No 5 for a mate for Christmas.

Basically it was originally just an empty No 5 body that i derusted and painted with white primer and then aged it a bit with some old engine oil, powdered rust and then a coat of polish.

I did take a piccy of 'before' but cant find it at the moment.

The last piccy shows the 'repro' and an original.

It will never pass muster as an original drill gren but not a bad copy and is marked as such on the inside. The base plug is an obvious fake.

Nice base plug, i will make a note of that for my records,,,,,, All the best and have a happy one,,, Dave

Many thanks Dave, the same to you.

If you need a better piccy, let me know. Very much a fake plug though, made in France by a well known 'reproducer'.
