Hurtgen Forest, 1944 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0135706/. Not bad at all for a movie made for TV release. Some moments are a bit exaggerated, like a fresh face wound looking like a 20 year old burn scar, or artillery ammo exploding like fireworks on the 4th of July, or military talk full of theatrical pathos...but, again, not bad at all. Filmed in Hungary. Hope they consumed a lot of palinka!!!

At least someone recognises it. Ask many people in the street and they will never have heard of it.

Luckily people like us know it was one of the hardest fought and desperate battles of WW2.
