WW2 Mine shrapnel

He was cremated, and the next-of-kin was handed a big bag of what looks like wire. (photos with the story). Anyone got any idea what model mine produced this kind of frag?

Very likely this ugly device, called "Behelfs-Dosenmine";



a simple tin can, loaded with scrap-metal and a Bohrpatrone 28.
