WWI German 37mm

This one came in today, you would not know from the picture but headstamp is quite clear. It says PATRONENFABRIK KARLSRUHF 1917 917 and 2 symbols also (wish I could get my camera tuned in). I think it is 37mm tracer but not sure...Dano

It is Flak 37x101 mm No Revolverkanone

This round is for the 37mm Sockelflak gun. The gun was designed as a defensive weapon for Zeppelins.

I believe this round is a "flame tracer" incendiary round. Nice find.

Is the screw in primer dated, if 18 on it it has likely been reloaded.

headstamp clarification

My camera just will not get the job done on the headstamp so I drew it out. The second picture is of one of the two symbols on the headstamp. QUESTION: Is this some sort of German WW1 aviation symbol or am I just urinating up the proverbial rope?? Dano
