Canadian H51C

Here are a couple of images of a H51C that my Uncle gave me. The container was manufactured by the Gibabrd Furniture Shop (Company) of Napanee, Ontario. Gibbard was Canada's oldest furniture company and has of this year closed. My Uncle was the head cabinet maker for the company and is also a WWII RCOC Veteran having served in NW Europe with 4th Canadian Armoured Division.

The colours of the box are a mystery to me and I think they mean something as they do not appear to be a post-WWII civilian repaint. With all three services using boxes to ship and transport ordnance, the box colours could be important.
