Hello,

I'm looking for more info about the Ww1 german fuze Kz14 n/A.

In France we have a famous old diagram from a kz14 n/A Zl (zamac) but in fact whenever I see this fuze the profile is different. The noze is not flat like a classical kz14 (picture 1) but a little sharp like the nose of the kz11Gr. (picture 2 & 3).
So, does anyone know if this fuze was made in an other material (brass for example) and with different design.

And I'm looking for pictures and diagrams of a Kz14 Vorst (with safety pin) ; this fuze is mentionned in documentations but never seen.

Best Regards.

The fuze pictured has been in my collection for a number of years and I would be glad of the experts opinion as to what model it may be. I am making the assumption that it is British based upon the general construction and apparent marking in seconds, 0 to 22. The only markings are a faint 10/14 and very faint I F on the steel nose cone. Low on the brass body is 64. My research indicates that the Number 64 was marked out to 30 seconds so I am more that confused. The diameter of the thread is 63mm with the maximum diameter being 65mm. As always glad to have your comments.
Fuze, Percussion, No 105 Mk I
Introduced under 'Confidential' cover by list of Changes §18035 7th Feb 1916.
This was the 'Boase' fuze, a graze fuze developed by the Design Department of the Trench
Warfare Department in December 1915. Its adoption was sanctioned early in February 1916
for use with the 1.57in and 2in trench mortars. Supplies began reaching troops early in March
1916 (History of Ministry of Munitions). It was later approved for use in the 9.45in Trench Mortar.
There were two patterns, 'B' and 'C, each with a Mark 1, a Mark 2 and a
Converted Mark 1. All were declared obsolete, by §19932 of February 1918.
