37 x 300R Schneider M1930?

At the beginning of WW2 the French Army had in service a small number of 37 mm Schneider M1930 automatic AA guns, which were apparently allocated to the defence of Paris. The ammo fired a 750 g shell at 800 m/s, and the gun used an 8-round strip feed and fired at 175 rpm.

I have a note in my files that someone, years ago, posted on a forum that he had a case for this ammo and that it was rimmed and 300 mm long. Can anyone confirm this and tell me the rim and base diameters? An illustration of the round would be even better!

Thanks for any help.

Hi all
Picked up this case today. I realise it is a 37mm M16 case but the headstamp had me intrigued - hence why I bought it!
The headstamp is onl! CF (Cordite Full I assume?) at the 6 o`clock position with a + at about 1 o`clock & that is all
Primer appears unstruck & unfired and has the stencil marks A-F M 179V40 around it. I assume (again the 40 is 1940?).
Also the cap now has me thinking. When I first saw it I thought it was just some gash brass cap that had been put on.
The cap though has exactly the same level of patina/dulling as the rest of the case & the cap is a perfect fit & very well made.

Is this a british or commonwealth mad case & what is the cap/top & does it belong with the case?

For general interest I thought it worth posting a couple of pictures of a 15x101 round that has been in my collection for a few years. The round is in good condition and the reddish varnish coating appears to be original, the base markings are: 15mm 39st 41 3b IV and maker eej. Alongside the MG 39 round is a standard 15x96 MG 151 HE round and the British 15x104 BESA round. My understanding is that both the BESA and the MG 39 share the same Czech parent.<a href="http://www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/attachment.php?attachmentid=78325&d=1369856362" title="Name: image.jpg
