Head stamp ID

I posted this on the Identification board but so far have had no replies, hopefully I will be luckier on this one. I have this round at work and am completely clueless as to (a) what the head stamp is and (b) what sort of round it is. The head seems to be steel. I presume the .825 is the calibre! Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Wooly

sometimes takes a while woolly but usually someone will have the answer, ive done a web search but can only find one .825 and it doesnt match yours, sorry

OK thanks for looking. I've tried as well and absolutely nothing. No one at works knows either. Will just keep on trying. Cheers:tinysmile_shy_t:

Is that inches or cm on the ruler in the photo? If it is cm then the calibre cannot be .825 as the round looks to be only about 10mm across. This would me more realistic if it is inches. I'll put this on the IAA forum and see if anything turns up.

Could it be the number of drawing for a prototype (or number of prototype itself) in a ammo manufacturer or simply for a test in an arms manufacturer?

Where did you get this? On the other forum the general opinion at the moment is that it is a "pretend" cartridge that someone has made for whatever reason. It looks like somebody took quite alot of time to make it.

As I said, it is at work. It has been there since I took over in 2005 and has always been there as far as everyone else can remember. It is definately in two parts though. Totally flummoxed:tinysmile_eyebrow_t
