Hi
I am currently restoring a kwk40 /pzgr39 and cannot seem to find any complete photos showing the markings on the shell
and case.Would anyone kindly be able to help me.
Kind regards
Paul

A 75mm Pzgr 39 in German service would never have had a white tip. The 88mm Pzgr 39/1 (later model) would have had a white tip in German service. The 76mm K Gr Rot Pz also had a white tip. But, no other German WWII AP projectile would have a white tip.

7,62 cm Pzgr. 39 and 7,62 cm Pzgr 40 both have a white tip.
7,62 cm Sprgr 34 had a white stripe under the fuze.

The white marking was to differentiate the 7,62 cm ammo from the regular 7,5 cm.

Thanks for your input about the white tips.Thats one thing less I’ll have to paint.I’ll have to make up some stamps now as it looks like they didn’t use stencils.

Off the topic:
white tip on was used on 8,8 cm Pzgr 39 and 39/1. The 39/1 had a white 1 under the tip.
Without a white tip was the 8,8 cm Pzgr.
