42cm Bertha- powder bag hooks

Hi. After some advice. I’m aware big Bertha cases ( necked down) had 4 hooks in the base to hold the propellant in. But was it practice for the Germans to remove them ?

Thankyou

Managed to turn my example over! Photograph of the hook as requested.

Thankyou :) do they rotate in place or do they remove easy or not? A nice fella has sourced me a case. Only issue is the hooks are not in place, the holes are there and in ok condition. But no hooks.
And I’m trying to figure out how they are fixed in place

thankyou

Thankyou that’s what I hoped. Can you please take a picture of the threads and the hook threads? Only if it’s possible.

Thankyou once again.
