No.5 Mills Throwing Practice Makers Mark

Hi all, this is my 1st post to forum( thanks for having me),I couldn't resist jumping on this old (ish) topic as I have 2 Belfast committee no5s,which are both dated 12/15,but have different body shapes & different embossed HoU logo on plugs, also different letter castings under lugs (U&O).I believe both grenades are correct,& this concurs with supposition that Belfast committee used various manufacturer's for body castings & base plugs... your thoughts please guys

I read them as U & O .but these may be open to interpretation please refer to images

Thanks for that.

From memory that gives us X, M, G,R, U & O.

Maybe Tom has kept a log but these look like a consistent series of cast markings.

Hi stanleyrf89
I have a mills body very similar to yours however mine has been over painted in black original white paint can still be seen. ..could I ask how much you paid for yours at the flea market hoping to get a vague value of what mine could be worth.
Thanks ken
