2pdr HV TP-HE Cartridge

Just picked up this nice British WW2 dated 2pdr HV TP-HE round, still crimped to the case, no primer however but in great shape. Not typically something I would buy but for 50$, and local to me how could I not?


Does anyone know the correct color code for these projectiles? I found another BOCN thread with one that was painted black with a yellow band in the middle, but no official pictures of an original. Something tells me the sloppily applied black acrylic paint is not original...

Normally these have a large white N with other white markings with a yellow band and marked up case the black is a Matt Finish. When I get five min I will post a pic of mine.

Here is mine missing drive band but with original finish. I will try and post the markings on the case. On this projectile the top screws off empty inside.

Very nice! Does the color code stay the same across different projectile variations?

Unfortunately my fuze does not unscrew but the set screw in the projectile body does.

Thank you very much Tony, those were the ones I found as well, but wanted to make sure that was intact the correct color codes before I did anything. Gorgeous rounds, I could certainly get lost in 2pdr’s!
