    PG-9 booster

    It is not a booster, it is propellant charge.

    Does the "rocket" portion have any propelling charge itself, or is the one attached to the base the only one?

    Also, this is for the 2A28 correct? Not the SPG-9 which has a much longer propelling charge?

    The projectile/propelling charge has a rotational quick disconnect so the case can be detached and another charge connected. It can be fired with the cartridge case from the BMP, or fired with a bagged charge in a recoilless rifle.
