A psychological thriller set in 1945 Hamburg https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5977276/. The British commandant of Hamburg brings his wife to stay with him in a newly requisitioned villa on the outskirts of the city. The previous owner and his daughter are told to vacate. Everyone had someone to lose during the war, hence interpersonal tensions. The starving burnt out city consumes commandant's time, whilst his wife brings her personal attitude towards Germans into action. The movie has a great start but by the end turns into a highly stressed love affair. I still think it merits a "watch" especially with your female companion who will enjoy an almost soap-like ending.
