Hello gentlemen,

Is anyone able to identify this shell please?

Diametre is 122mm, height 328mm, driving band width 15mm, distance from base to driving band 19mm, fuze socket diametre 47mm.

At first glance I thought perhaps a German 12cm, but the band suggested otherwise. Also the base configuration stumped me. Futhermore the threads in the fuze socket are pretty coarse and the diametre is larger than that of a Gr Z 04, etc.
Which then made me think Belgian? Its been suggested this is a base ejection shrapnel shell?? Any idea of period, I'm under the impression its a First war piece.
Interestingly, the rifling cut spacing in the driving band is inconsistant at one point (see pic).
To be honest, I'm at the stage where I'm clutching at straws....

Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks!
