    Sure looks a lot like the first generation German 120, DM13 sub-projectile, that the US copied as the XM866. These were the very first finned SABOT rounds used on the German 120mm smooth bore tank guns that are used on the Leo and M1A1 tanks. I see a very slight difference in yours from my 120 example. I wonder if your 105 was the predecessor model the, Germans used to create the 120mm DM13? Almost identical with an ultra tiny difference in the lower buttress grooves. Beautiful and historic!

    it was predecessor, btw can you measure 120mm DM13 lenght ?


    is this scheme correct ?
