    German minenwerfer (large)

    Another great war monument containing an interesting piece of german artillery
    A large minenwerfer located beside the highway at a tiny town called Bonnie Doon in north east victoria

    Nice piece of history, like the shells and their fuses too. a lot of "Boom" per weight.

    Very rare to find the ammunition for these in any calibre out here in Australia. There are quite a few of the smaller pieces scattered around the country, this is the only large bore one i have encountered.

    25 cm schwerer Minenwerfer n/A (n/A with longer barrel). The original wheels were made from wood.

    Thanks Alpini, I thought the wheels may have been replaced, they have that farm impliment look about them.

    Hi Alpini, is it a model 16 or a 16a? I have difficulties to identify them on photos...
