    WWI French Mortar

Picked up my first French mortar today at a local gun show Looks like it's about 60mm and has caster marks. Paint appears to be original.

This is one of the Brandt 60mm pneumatic morter shells. I think there is two shapes. I also have this one. Mine is buff/yellow also.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

    Hello,
orcutteod, your projectile is French HE (internal prefrag) 60mm model 1916 B (for pneumatic launcher Brandt). Paint is original.
Slick, you have the version turned for practice with typical red paint
    Regards
Any Live or Dug ordnance shown by me has been disposed of by EOD personnel .
