Inglesia de Santa Quiteria, Casas de Ves and a cool story

Look at the height of the bell tower in the 1st photo.

My friend's great uncle Manolo stood under the tower many many years ago and the bell's tongue came loose (was poorly attached). This huge piece of metal hit him on the top of his head, but under an angle, and slid down his face. Manolo told me this story himself. He considers it to be a true miracle.
And here is the rest of Casas de Ves.

Mid day temperature, all you can do is to sleep or play dominos. Here is Manolo himself in the red shirt on the left.

The original house is about 300 years old (modified many times). The only original thing standing is an in-house well (white door), not used for many years. For those unfamiliar with an idea, here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CR-ob5R-W-4

But it's a DRY heat.

Correct, it ain't Arkansas, but it hurts too, you just don't sweat that much. But it is good for gun powder.
