I ran across this this morning and thought it was timely and interesting. Not a lot of detail, but it was also from 1957. If you ever get into Idaho and want to see something related stop by the EBR-1 Museum just outside the fence at INEL. They have 1-2 of the US nuclear aircraft engines that were under development for the nuclear bomber fleet - cancelled by Kennedy just before he left office. Massive. Enjoy.
