Placement of markings on a 7.5cm Sprgr.34 HE shell

I was about to use this off the shelf stencil from Milcorem on 7.5cm Sprgr.34 when it occurred to me that I wasn’t 100% certain of where to place the markings.

I assume the 95 goes over the III on the top half of the shell, one of the Jg.11.6.43 goes on the bottom half just above the driveband and the FES markings go on the lower half on opposite sides. But where does the second Jg.11.6.43 go? Opposite the other one? I’ve spent some time googling markings, but can’t work it out. I insert the caveat that the stencil may be more impressionistic than 100% accurate.

Thanks,
Mark

Here are the markings on such a projectile with a KPS driving band. "FES" in white is correct just above the driving band. All other markings are in black.

Thanks. So does that mean that the second Jg.11.6.43 marking ought to go around the top next to the 95? Unfortunately I‘m not sure it will fit.

And the explosive filler with code 95 (= 60% RDX + 40% TNT) was not used in the 7,5 cm Gr 34. That was used in the early hollow charge projectiles.
Fillers that were used in 7,5 cm Gr 34:
nr. 14 = TNT (early)
nr. 13 = Amatol 60/40
nr. 13A = Amatol 50/50
nr. 23A = 50% TNT + 50% Steinsalz (substitute explosive)
nr. 23E = 40% TNT + 60% Steinsalz (substitute explosive).

There should be a date right next to the "95" explosive code. The font should be smaller for it to fit. I agree with greif that I have never seen the code 95 on such a shell. All of mine with original paint and markings have 13. However, I had a stamp made with 95, so I use it when I restore HE and HEAT rounds. On all my original sprgr 34 with the III, FES and 13 visible, you cannot find any trace of the date codes on them.

Thanks for all the input. Good job I asked here first... I've found a source for stick on vinyl stencil numbers in the right size, but unfortunately they're not cheap.

Could you clarify for me what the two dates at the top and bottom of the shell denote? Would they be the same or different?

The dates should be different. Even with Google translator it is still difficult for me to give the meaning of the dates. One is the date the projectile was filled with high explosive. The other could be the date the complete round was finished or just the projectile was ready for filling.

Finished at last after customising the stencils from Milcorem. I’m quite pleased with it. :)

It looks great. I should have mentioned the original markings are very sloppy - especially the "FES".

Thanks. I know, but deliberately making the markings messy really isn’t me. ;) They’re really more illustrative than a literal recreation of what was there.
