Ordnance all over the place, and still being found to this day.

The Somme and Ypres area, are littered with the stuff.

And YES, people still get blown to smithereens to this day.

Two foreign workers.. working in the fields.. messed with a shell in the under growth.. bang!

All that was left of the two of them was a??? (as told to me by our guide).

EAR.

They are now using electrified fences to try stop idiots killing themselves.

How many warning signs do you need? :argh:

to keep idiots in the gene pool you need lots of signs and physical barriers, as they say genius has limits, stupidity does not. Nice pictures.

If I saw a uxb lying in a shrub/field?... I'd be off like a shot.. inform the authorities asap.

Some idiots want to pick them up.. take them home.. use them as door stops..

And it's still happening to this day.

About 10 years ago my wife and visited the memorial at Vimy Ridge. A few hundred metres behind the memorial there was a large roped off area with no entry signs. We asked one of the Canadian guides what was happening and she said a week or so before they had noticed munitions slowly pushing up through the surface of the land. Something was literally pushing unexploded shell upwards, revealing them on the surface.

It just shows you that the land does move on its own.
