    French signal device or grenade?

    Can anyone give me a positive identification on this item? Thank you.

    Hello,
    Yes it's french signals cartridges for airplane, fired by 35 mm pistol. This cartridge signal,s name is "Cartouches signaux à bossages Modèle 1930".

    Thank your for that great information. Of all the things I might have guessed this item was, probably the last thing I would have ever thought was a cartridge fired from a 35mm signal pistol.
