Are these ammunition boxes?

I've been sent pictures of two metal boxes which are described as ammunition boxes. There are very few markings and the size of the larger box is: 730mm high 280mm wide & 110mm deep. Can anyone identify what they are from the following pictures? Thanks, Depotman

Thanks Tony - is your second photo of the box with its lid removed? What are the rounds? They look like British 6-pdrs! Trevor

Hi Trevor, they might be! I had the pics on my pc from years ago, Cheers!

Hi, the 6 rounds in the open box look like French Navy 37mm Mle 1902. The primers are French Navy type.

Many thanks to both tigbrand and doppz92; it's certainly looking like French cases. Depotman

I am sure French 37x202 1902 cases, used into ww2 for subcalibre practice and in some versions AA guns. The larger can could well be for larger sizes 3pr or 6pr.
