    German 77mm Shrapnel

Hi, was wondering if anybody can help, do the German 77 mm Shrapnel shell have a bursting powder charge tin in the base like the British 18 pounder ?
    Cheers

Not sure if these are any use to you Andy. Going by these images it looks like loose powder and not in tins

Have seen only F.K.Gr.11 with a tin inside but not the F.Schr.96 types.

I think they used tins only in shrapnels with special charges for safety reasons. A black powder mixture with any other substances is never a good idea.
