Anyone know the nomenclature of this round?

40-MM
Length: 178-MM W/Fuze
Length: 130-MM W/O Fuze

Fuze is the MK 27 MOD 1 made by Belgium.

Any information would be awesome …

I hope I am making everyone's home exile a little better …

Joe

Hi Joe,

This is a 40mm Bofors projectile re-painted in WW2 era British/Commonwealth colours and stencils.
Without seeing the stamps on the body, the usual designation for this shell is a Mk IIT, but early WW2 shells were Mk IT and post WW2 Mk 4T.
The fuze appears to be a standard US Bofors Mk 27 PD - American, not Belgian. The shell and fuze are a mismatch.

Regards,

Graeme

Ahh ... I didn't think about that.
Also, looking through the images again I found no stamped markings that I could find. Just a year on the rotating band.
Thank you ...
Joe
