Now that is really interesting. I would have never guessed it.
So here is a fired one I would guess ... Differecne is it has a DM 1323 case, not the A1 version.

I came across these pictures.
The round is loaded with the projectile out of the case. When chambered into the MPG device, the "projectile" is pressed into the case. The star crimp opens when fired and the assembly is ejected.
Quite an interesting round.
