My SAPI has a white nose tip where yours is all red.

The SAPIR is an inert loaded Semi-AP-I-Representing round.

Red body with white tip was the standard WW2 Hispano SAPI. Much used by the RAF, whose standard belt loading from 1942 onwards was two HEI followed by two SAPI.

By the way, the SAPI had no fuze. It consisted of a standard HE body filled with incendiary, and fitted with a solid piercing nose cap. The force of impact ignited the incendiary (usually!).

20mm Hispano SAPI & SAPIR.jpegMy photo shows the alloy insert and felt wad under the SAPIR fuze .

SAPI is headstamped: ST 43 20MM. SAPIR is: RG 53 20MM
