Just recieved this No69 body ,no makers mark ,date ,etc ,only Exc on the bottom .Is this a Dutch No69 practice grenade body ?I've looked at Lexs site and can't find a Dutch drill version ,any help appreciated
I think you are right Dave. I can't access my Dutch No69 at the moment, but I'm pretty sure they are un-marked, unlike the British ones being marked : No69 I DLR 40 (other dates)
My Drill Dutch 69. Has a solid practice fuze with a number and a symbol on it. The cap has a number and the same symbol inside. And the body is marked EXC on the base.
heres a Dutch 69, 3rd from left. the body is unmarked but each component of the fuze and body has a different number and a tiny symbol inside. the cap has finer grip lines that the UK, Australian or Canadian models. Also the dutch version has the Mk3 247 fuze.
