National Archives FREE files

Good afternoon,

just to signal to the community that the National Archives is granting free download of their already digitalized files, just create an account (if you don't have one already) and filter your search by ticking "available for download only". It is possible to download 10 files per time, 50 files over a 30 days period. A commendable initiative.

Hallo @Lefa,
thank you very much for informing us about these very interesting documents. Many of the photos I have seen in other publications before. But, some also for the first time. A few WW2-fictional movies have been made about the character CHAPMAN. It is very much interesting to read about the real thing. By the way, does anybody know what the agent "ZIGZAG" was supposed to accomplish. The story in the above documents stops in Lissabon. Many persons leaned very far out to produce the cover for him. I looked for the american TM 19-225 Sabotage shown in the documents, but was not able to find it available online anywhere. Does anybody have a digital copy ? With the help of your above links I was able to download those documents. But, I just did not manage a search for additional documents. I just don't seem to find the right window for "available for download only". Could you please explain the right way to accomplish this ?
Regards,
Bellifortis.

Hallo Bellifortis,

you're most welcome, the pictures contained in these files are the originals of the ones published - for instance - in the red book.
In order to search just type your keyword into the search box (upper right corner) and select "search our records"; once you have your results list, filter by selecting "available for download only" from the left menu, you can also refine your search by filtering more options such as the date.
If you're interested in ZIGZAG's files there are 9 available: https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/results/r?_q=zigzag&_hb=tna&_col=200
