    No lids unfortunately.

    They are selling them as a lot of six boxes, an auction starting at £60 or make offer. No one has bid yet. They are collection only from Hereford, which could be a problem for a buyer until the lockdown restrictions are eased.

    These are for the mk 6 probert rounds, very unusual.
    Always looking for projectiles, cases, fuzes and paperwork related to Burney and Davis guns.

    Probert Rifled barrels had rifling that had the groove depth reducing to zero at the muzzle end. The driving bands were swaged down smooth to the surface of the projectile.
