Does anyone recognise this manufacturers logo?

I believe it to be British, possibly from the 1970’s or 1980’s.

It appears to be an A on a triangle.

I’ve observed this marking on a photo of an unknown 1.5” baton round.

Now identified as the logo of Astra.

The attached scan taken from the book “In The Public Interest” by Gerald James, shows the company tree of Astra Holding, which developed out of Astra Fireworks to become a multi million pound international arms company.

Astra Pyrotechnics were based in the same location as Astra Fireworks.
Baton rounds made by Astra Pyrotechnics for the UK Government have the loading station code AP.

Found a loose empty case at the Stoneleigh militaria fair. Unfortunately it is very faded, but the stencilling is still readable and it will fill a gap until a better example can be found.

ROUND A RIOT
BATON
(Astra Pyrotechnics logo)
(Lot) 003

Case made by Floform Parts Ltd in September 1981.

I assume this was the equivalent of an L5A3 baton round, made by AP for commercial sale.
