Greetings
Can anyone tell me which gun(s) used this case?
994mm long ... rim diameter 177mm
25 over PG at 3 o'clock (in Cyrillic script)
Presumably naval.
Campbell sheds little light on 130mm Soviet guns in his WW2 book
Shown next to a US 5inch L/54 case for scale
Many thanks

As stated, it's for the Russian 130 mm KS-30 (КС-30) anti-aircraft gun (AA), its GAU/GRAU index code 52-P-481 (52-П-481).

The markings on the side of the case mean (as far as I can tell):

ЖД-481 = ZhD-481 (54-ZhD-481 in full) = charge index code (ZhD are charges that use nitrodiglycol [нитродигликолевый] based propellants);

130-КС-30 = 130-КС-30 = 130 mm gun KS-30

ДГ-2 21/1 = DG-2 21/1 = propellant type (DG = nitrodiglycol) and shape (nominal web thickness in tens of millimetres [2.1 mm] and number and perforations [1]), the rest of the markings missing on this line, but would cover the 'batch/year - factory' data.

135-??-?? = 'batch number - year - factory', the rest of the markings partially erased.

? = Ф = F = flegmatiser present.

The markings shown on the base of the case would seem to be the factory code (257) and its cipher (ПГ = PG).

The '72' within a star is probably the acceptance mark, but I'd need to see its position on the base to be sure.

Thank you both very much.
I lost the complete base photo from my phone so couldn't post
The 72 in star is at 6 o'clock. 12 o'clock has the K for silicon brass.
My data list has the KS-30 wrongly listed with a case length of 861mm.
(Does a case actually exist with an 861mm length?)
Cheers

The 6 o'clock marking would likely be the military acceptance stamp then.

I missed the 60 over 57 base marking, this would be the case's batch number (60) and the year of manufacture (1957).

The case's GAU/GRAU index code is 54-G-481 (54-Г-481).
