    Swing Kids (1993)

Hamburg, 1938 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108265/ German youth fall in love with swing music and associated style of dancing. But it is seen as foreign and undermining. There is a growing conflict, both political and on a personal level between the characters. Very even, very human movie. Only ones who grew up in a totalitarian society can fully appreciate what people on the screen were feeling. That means most of my readers will not. Luckily for you, there is a strong movement (at least in US) to change this and make everyone think and act the same. If they succeed, you'll be seeing my post in a different light in a couple of years. Meticulously filmed in Prague, a definite must to WWII researchers.

I believe "disappeared" is the current terminology.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

I bet everyone has thought me "nuts" when I made this Confederate monument post http://www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/thread...-Wilmington-NC. Trust me, I lived in the USSR for 20 years. I know a thing or two.
